It is a misconception that everything an artist creates is from their own mind, and that a genius comes up with everything independently and must be more inherently talented than the other. In fact this is far from the truth. Nothing is created or destroyed, only transferred. More often than not, an artist is working from a reference, or a shared idea. “Nothing is original” and “Great artists steal” are two mantras that all successful artists utilize. Participants will use found images from magazines or newspapers along with multimedia printing tools to “steal like an artist” and create a collage on illustration board.Cost: $50 for non members $40 for members

Materials: Magazines, Illustration Board, Printing Materials, Cutting Matts, X-acto Knives, Scissors, Glue will be provided. Campers are welcome to bring any of their own craft or collage materials.
