Amy Menousek & Meera Norris present “Unbound,” a show about unconstrained resilience.Amy Menousek is a fiber and mixed-media artist. Repurposed objects, including wedding dresses, are dismantled and stripped of imposed meanings, reclaiming them as symbols of resistance. “Through acts of cutting and stitching, I reclaim 'women’s work' as a labor of power rather than obedience.” Menousek is a member of the Five15Arts Collective. She has a BFA in Metals and Jewelry from Arcadia University. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows within Pennsylvania and Arizona.
Meera Norris is an American portraitist and interdisciplinary artist. Norris uses art to question inherited systems while honoring resilience and the sacredness of life. This series is called “Birds of the Sanctuary” and explores bird migration as a reflection of human migration. Norris has a Master's in Global Family and Child Public Health from the University of Arizona, and integrates her public health expertise into her artistic practice. Norris has shown her work throughout Arizona and Portland since 2021.
