The 27th uMngeni-uThukela Water Marathon takes place in March every year during National Water Week at Midmar Dam.Distances:
42.2 km
21.1 km
10km (run/walk)
The race entry fee includes free entry into Midmar Dam Resort (valid only from 4:00 am to 6:00 am) and covers online entry charges.
All participants in every event will receive a free T-shirt, sizes subject to availability. Sizes are provided on a first-come, first-served basis (at registration), with a total limit of 1,200 T-shirts.
Medals to all finishers within the specified cut-off times.

Athletes are required to personally collect their race packs on one of the following dates and locations:
Saturday, 8 March 2025, at Collegians’ Club, 381 Boshoff Street, Pietermaritzburg, between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
Sunday, 9 March 2025, at Midmar Dam Resort, between 4:00 am and 5:15 am
