This heartfelt play explores the whirlwind adventures of Carl and Anna, brother and sister, as they travel across Europe in search of the elusive cure to a fatal illness that has befallen Anna. From Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel, the show expresses the unique connection between close siblings through wit and theatrical surprise. This affecting story is punctuated by Anna’s outrageous romantic escapades and a madcap noir espionage plot that puts Carl at odds with the mysterious character known as The Third Man. Written at the height of the AIDS epidemic, Vogel uses humor and fantasy to recolor a grief-touched reality.
