If life's been getting you down and your trouble seem insurmountable. If you feel certain that just one more straw will break your camel's back, then let me offer you a quantum of solace. There is an oasis in the desert, an eye at the centre of the storm, a safe harbour in the tumult. That harbour is Cambridge Ukulele's bi-weekly jam session .. and it's on this coming Sunday! I warmly invite you to put your worries to one side for a couple of hours and join us at the Elm Tree (starting at 3pm) for some admittedly inexpert, but undeniably enthusiastic music making. It matters not whether you're a solid regular, planning to come along for the first time or hoping to start again after a hiatus. You'll all be equally welcome.I've had a lovely lot of song contributions from some of our regulars so make sure you download the latest book version. I'm quite excited about having a go at Our House and have been practicing it's wonderfully wordy bridge.
- Our House - Madness (from David)
- Mr Rock And Roll - Amy Macdonald (suggested by Jo)
- God Only Knows - The Beach Boys (from Stuart)
- Don't Fence Me In - Bing Crosby (from Gabrielle)
- Echo Beach - Martha and the Muffins (fixed)
- King of the Road - Roger Miller (with outro)
I hope to see you soon,
Mike
