Just in time for the holidays, explore the art, symbolism and joy in creating a Lemko Drop Pull Pysanka Ornament - Ukrainian decorated egg. You will be guided through all the steps of transforming a plain egg into a work of art. Adult and/or teen students will learn the age old Ukrainian method of writing Pysanky. We will apply a series of melted beeswax and dyes to create traditional and individually creative patterns. When complete, the wax is melted off, revealing the vivid colors. This pysanka, or Ukrainian egg can then be hung as an ornament. Basia will supply all needed materials and supplies to create 1 Pysanka Egg. No experience necessary, all levels welcome.
