Join us for a wonderful family-style 5-course dinner and exciting auction on Sunday, July 17th. Our team believes that kindness has no limits or boundaries. We want to celebrate Ukrainian food and culture by hosting a traditional Ukrainian feast with vibrant dishes, blazing drinks, and meaningful conversations. As the founder of World Central Kitchen, chef Jose Andres once said: "I realized very early the power of food to evoke memory, to bring people together, to transport you to other places, and I wanted to be a part of that". We want you to be a part of this experience while contributing to a good cause!

About Anya Voloshyna:

As a young cook who moved from Ukraine to California at the age of twenty-one, Anya felt that it was her duty to promote Ukrainian cuisine, tell stories, and spread the culture. She recently finished her first Ukrainian cookbook BUDMO! which is a love letter to her home country. Budmo means "cheers" in Ukrainian, which perfectly captures the spirit of Anna's cooking. In her cookbook, you will find recipes that are perfect for large family gatherings, lazy weekend brunches, and quiet weeknight dinners. Some recipes are very traditional and were born from my childhood memories, but most are my modern interpretations of beloved classics. All of them are meant to make you fall in love with new flavors and aromas and expand your cooking horizons. Gather around your own table and raise a glass to the spirit of BUDMO!”

About Anya El-Wattar:

A Russian-born émigré and a decades-long San Francisco resident, Anya believes there is no better way to connect with the community than through lively conversation and creatively imagined food. Anya, executive chef and owner of Birch and Rye has been at the forefront since the onset of this invasion, raising more than $100,000 at a recent fundraiser for WCK and their efforts in Ukraine.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to World Central Kitchen.

World Central Kitchen:

Founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, World Central Kitchen (WCK) is first on the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises while working to build resilient food systems with locally-led solutions. Since the invasion of Ukraine, WCK’s Relief Team has been on the ground supporting families sheltering in the country as well as refugees arriving in Poland, Romania, Moldova, Hungary, and most recently, Spain. Cooking out of their own Relief Kitchen in Przemysl, Poland, and mobilizing a vast network of chefs and volunteers across all six countries, WCK is providing nearly 200,000 hot, nourishing meals every day. WCK is also making daily food product deliveries into Ukraine and throughout the country for WCK restaurant partners' cooking.
