A series of regular Ukulele events, showcasing different talent from the thriving North East community scene. Each month, a different local Ukulele band (and smaller offshoots of that band) will perform a set followed by an informal jam session led by the group. What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon?Low Fell Ukes are a really active ukulele club based in Gateshead having played over forty gigs over the last year, run another successful Ukes of the North Festival and raised over £1600 for local charities.
We play some pretty cool uke tunes as well. Our Ukes at the Globe will highlight some of the individual talents of members, small groups as well as a singalong with the whole club. The Shakey Strummers will also be making a guest appearance and there will be a surprise mini workshop on playing simple two-part harmony on the uke.
So come along and bring your Uke or feel free to just listen, the choice is yours.
