Discover the world of Britain’s mammals on this one day course with Matt Collis at Grow Wilder
About this Event

Focused on the UK’s terrestrial mammals, this day course aims to teach identification and field skills for this elusive and enigmatic group. From badgers and otters, to wood mice and water voles, discover all the techniques needed to spot, track and successfully ID the local mammals in your area. With a bit of luck, you might even meet a few on the day! Perfect for amateur and budding ecologists. Multiple outdoor practical's included.

Learning outcomes:

- Gain an overview of British mammals and their basic ecology

- Practice identification of British mammals by sight and using field signs

- Learn several techniques in order to find, survey and identify them

- Learn how to handle a small mammal under expert supervision

This course is led by ecologist Matt Collis
