Luke Vilain here - I’m putting together a school reunion for our year. Key details:Where - UHC fields (probably somewhere behind the astroturf, maybe near the pine trees if shade is needed) - Mrs Van Maren (who is now the deputy principal) has said we can use them 😊
When - Saturday, January 10th, from midday until the food
Food - please BYO picnic and drinks. I'll be organising some toilets and some spare water, as the school won't be open at that stage, therefore no staff to open up the facilities
Activity - it’ll be a relaxed day - with some “back to school” races (egg & spoon, sack race, that sort of thing)
Families / dogs / hangers on - if you’ve got kids, it would be great if you could bring them along – the more chaos, the better 😄
Please forward this event to people that you know that went to UHC! They don't need to strictly have been in the 2000 year, or even have stayed in school until 2000 - the point is to have people come together who haven't seen each other in a long time, but have a shared connection in our teenage years
I'll likely be reaching out to people asking for contact details (like your name, facebook profile, cell phone, vague location), so those that are happy to share with others can do so - I've had a couple people already mention that they'd like to follow up with people and reconnect after all this time. This will obviously be optional (the privacy act and all that 😄)
