
About this Event
Join the UDC College of Agriculture, Sustainability, and Environmental Sciences (CAUSES) for an exciting, hands-on learning experience in agriculture and environmental science! The Agra-Earth Summer Camp empowers youths to explore urban agriculture, food security, climate change, renewable energy, and STEM careers through interactive challenges and real-world applications. Youths will connect with like-minded individuals and develop critical STEM skills. Campers will explore urban farming, global sustainability, and its challenges through a mock-up competition and create lasting friendships.
How it Works:
- Youth participants (ages 10-19) will form teams of six, led by an adult mentor, to prepare for a District of Columbia State Competition.
- Engaging in summer sessions with experts will deepen their understanding of environmental and agricultural science.
- Hands-on activities, research-based learning sessions

Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Location: Van Ness Campus, UDC Student Center, 4200 Connecticut Ave NW, Room 110.
Additional Info:
- Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Campers must be D.C. high school students.
- Campers must obtain transportation to and from the UDC Van Ness campus.
- Registration closes on June 17, 2025, 5:00 p.m.
- A parent or guardian must sign a photo waiver form for all campers. Please submit an electronic version (preferred) or bring the signed copy with you on the first day of camp.
