This fall, the UC Independent Media Center (IMC) turns 25! Since 2000, the IMC has been at the heart of Urbana-Champaign’s cultural and civic life — amplifying community voices, supporting grassroots media, and building a vibrant home for the arts.
On October 24–26, we’ll gather for a weekend-long anniversary celebration featuring live music, art-making, a history panel, tours, and a community meal. We hope you’ll join us as we honor our past and envision the next 25 years together.
A weekend full of performances, art, conversations, and community connection. Come tour and get to know our creative space, including our working groups: Books to Prisoners, WRFU Radio, the Public i Newspaper, and Makerspace Urbana!
