Disrupted Lives: Inequalities and Disadvantages for Children and Youth on the Island of Ireland
Globally we are witnessing significant political, environmental, economic and social disruption that impacts the lives of children. War in Europe, the Cost of Living Crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic have further illuminated the pervasive impact of instability and inequality on children’s development, education, health, participation and opportunity. The Children’s Research Network and the UCD CHiLD Research Centre want to explore dimensions of disruption that influence children’s lives to generate research-rich discourse that guides practice and policy as we move toward an uncertain future.

This conference is jointly organised by the Children’s Research Network of Ireland and Northern Ireland (CRN) and University College Dublin Childhood and Human Development Research Centre (UCD CHiLD-RC).

It will take place on Thursday 8th December 2022 in the Sutherland School of Law, University College Dublin. It is free to attend for members of CRN and/or UCD CHiLD-RC.

The CRN is a membership-based network bringing together a broad range of professionals interested in research and evidence-based policy and practice in topics relevant to children and young people on the island of Ireland. The network is inclusive, independent, and works not-for-profit, engaging members across a variety of disciplines including research, policymaking and advocacy. @CRNINI
