'Up Close and Personal Mcr' are proud to present 'Covert'. A new night with a different musical direction to the more progressive and melodic nights we are renowned for.
Covert is a multi-genre event catering for everything from house, minimal, tech, breaks, progressive, old skool, you name it.....
Headlining our first Covert event will be local legend Jay Wearden; a man who needs no introduction. Initially, a hip hop scratch DJ, Jay Wearden went on to ply his trade at the sacred grounds of the Thunderdome and Hippodrome, and he has been part of the furniture at the likes of Maxines, Monroes, Back By Dope Demand and many more underground nights ever since. Jay may be known to many as an old skool DJ, but he isn't one to be pigeon-holed so it's safe to say there will be a few curveballs and we're very excited to have him.
Support on the night will be provided by Manchild, Black Betty, MYDIR, Shing, Toucanplay, AfterX and the Up Close and Personal boss man himself, Andy Holdsworth.The clubs official policy is attached but just a few important points to highlight:
- Every ticket buyer to an event will need to show their Covid pass or evidence of a negative lateral flow test in the last 48 hours (NHS email or SMS sent when registering a lateral flow test result). This must be shown on a phone or via a print out, no physical tests are to be brought to the venue.
- Covid checks will be done upon arrival to the venue just before customers tickets are checked & a wristband given to them **Carlton Club will provide staff to do the checks & we will provide wristbands. There will also be a security guard working to help with any issues & queue control.
- For the initial period we will be keeping the bar as ordering via the app & setting up a fully staffed collection point for drinks across the front of the bar. PLease advise all ticket buyers & your customers to download the Butlr app before arriving (https://getbutlr.com/)
