Is your dream job to make video games and bring your stories and ideas to life in virtual reality? If so, come check out UC San Diego Park & Market’s XR Games Masterclass series, including two days of game creation skill building. The Qualcomm Institute at UC San Diego, in partnership with Resilience Studios, Epic Games, Lenovo, and Meta, has put together two unique opportunities to learn the building blocks for developing an XR game for the Meta Quest 3 and Snapdragon Spaces Lenovo headsets.
Students from UC San Diego’’s course, Serious Games for Climate Change, will also be showcasing the games they have made using UE5 to inspire your gameplay.
Day 1: The Climate Games:
- Learn how to build a sword-battling multiplayer VR game in UE5 and install it on the Quest3. Discover core game development choices to create The Climate Games, a fully developed VR game built on UE5 that allows you to create your own story about the climate with your friends.
