About this Event

Ubuntu ( I am, because you are) Award is an exceptional gala organized every year that celebrates Creoles achievements, purpose, and breakthroughs. We aim to uplift and provide a platform for Creole from all walks of life to gather, share, connect, learn and empower one another to shine and keep growing. This also provides an opportunity for the world to learn about the experiences, challenges and triumphs of Creole’s people in Canada.

This year we are awarding Dr. Eric Pierre, Honorary Consul of Haiti in Toroto for over 30 years of advocating for his community; Dr. Rosemary Sadlier Champion of February as Black History Month & August 1st as Emancipation Day; Ms. Marie Jennyne Mayard, Founder of Fkzo (Festival Kompa Zouk in Toronto, Ms. Rose Cathy Handy founder of CIBWE, Canada International Black Women Excellence; 100 black women to watch in Canada just to name a few.
