You’re invited to Uber Design Night, in our Mission Bay Office on April 30th. You’ll get the chance to meet fellow UXers, learn about Uber’s UX team, and participate in a conversation about how Design adapts to a changing world, featuring talks by Barry Katz and Rupa Chaturvedi. We’ll hear about how AI is impacting the Design landscape and what we can do to adapt with it. We’ll also showcase a panel of cross-functional Uber product and design leaders in conversation about how they partner to deliver amazing experiences.

is Emeritus Professor of Industrial and Interaction Design at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco and formerly Adjunct Professor in the Design Group, Department of Mechanical Engineering, at Stanford University. As IDEO Fellow Barry worked for more than 20 years with the world’s leading design and innovation consultancy, and continues to consult with governments, companies, and academic institutions worldwide. His writings on design as a strategy of innovation have appeared in many academic, professional, and popular journals.
is currently the head of Merchant Design at Uber, and her fingerprints are all over the AI/AR consumer technologies we use today. She has worked at Amazon, Google, and Sentient, designing the most industry-defining AI/AR products. Rupa 24 patents (!) in computer vision and augmented reality to her name and co-founded India’s first e-learning startup. She also moonlights as a product design lecturer at Stanford.
