Tycho is the musical project of Scott Hansen, a San Francisco-based artist known for blending ambient, downtempo, and electronic music with lush, atmospheric soundscapes. Originally a graphic designer (under the moniker ISO50), Hansen brings a strong visual element to his work, crafting immersive experiences that combine music and art. Since emerging in the early 2000s, Tycho has released critically acclaimed albums like Dive, Awake, and Epoch, earning a Grammy nomination and a dedicated fan base. His music, often described as cinematic and nostalgic, bridges the gap between electronic and organic instrumentation, making him a staple in the chillwave and post-rock scenes.
