Discover the joy of observational still-life painting in oils in this immersive two-part workshop led by award-winning artist Beth-Ann Wilson at Night Owl Gallery in Station North! Whether you're looking to refine your technique or challenge your creativity, this intermediate-level workshop is the perfect opportunity to expand your artistic skills. Ticket price is for BOTH sessions (March 6 AND March 13) and includes all materials.
� What You'll Do:
-Learn the art of arranging and lighting your still-life subject for maximum impact.
-Work with professional-grade oil paints, brushes, and materials—all provided!
-Explore composition, technique, and layering while creating your own 12"x16" masterpiece to take home.
-Receive expert advice and personalized instruction from Beth-Ann.
-Use studio time in Session 2 to refine and perfect your painting.
� What to Bring: Props like fruit, flowers, or personal objects are welcome, but we’ll also have plenty of inspiring items available.
� What’s Included:
-12"x16" canvas, brushes, professional oil paints, and Gamsol.
-Aprons and gloves for a safe and clean experience.
-Introduction, demonstration, and instruction from artist and gallery owner Beth-Ann Wilson
-A supportive, creative atmosphere to explore your creativity, experiment, and let your artistry shine!
� Important Notes:
-This workshop is best suited for those with some painting experience and some basic drawing skills.
-This workshop is best suited for ages 16+ (email if you have questions)
-Wet oil paint has a unique smell that isn't for everyone. We will have plenty of ventilation.
-Paintings may take up to a week to dry. You can take your work home after the session or leave it to dry at the gallery and pick up during normal hours.
-Dress for creativity—wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy.
� BYOB: Feel free to bring your favorite beverage to sip as you paint! The kitchen at The Royal Blue is open until 10pm. You're welcome to bring food but note it is not a good idea to eat while you are painting.
