About this Event
If you've even seen my social media posts about my professional development workshops and felt left out, this event is for you!
For the first time ever I am opening the doors to all educators who have been sitting on the sidelines wishing they could participate in learning more about loose parts. Plus, I am running BOTH workshops in one day at an incredibly low price. In fact, if I run it again. the price will very likely be higher so don't miss out! There are only 48 seats available so don't put off registering.
These workshops as they will be delivered at this event are designed for Designated Early Childhood Educators and Ontario Certified Teachers from Kindergarten to Grade 3. However, I have had many teachers attend my works up to grade 8 who have all loved it and foubnd it valuable for their classrooms, too.
The Rundown
Participants will engage in two 90 minute workshops with a lunch break inbetween. The venue is conveniently located in walking distance of Vaughan Mills shopping center so you can find plenty of options for lunch. Participants must leave the meeting space after the first workshop to allow us to reconfigure the room for the second session.
Workshop 1 (10:00-11:30)
The first workshop, "Loose Parts and Their Value in Art" begins at 10:00 a.m. sharp! Participants will receive a free copy of Amelia's Loose Part Art, a themed sticker sheet, and a bookmark. Here we dive into the theory of loose parts, define loose parts, go over some considerations, and connect loose part art to the Ontario curriculum with a strong emphasis on grades K-3.
Lunch (11:30-1:00)
Workshop 2 (1:00-2:30)
The second workshop, "Broadening Our View: Sand and Water are Loose Parts Too" begins at 1:00 p.m. Participants receive a free copy of Amelia's Loose Part Art: A Day at the Beach, a themed sticker sheet, and a bookmark. Now we expand on loose parts theory, make new considerations, look at other ways we can use loose parts in the classroom and connect to the Ontario curriculum.
At the end of the workshop, participants can get their books autographed if they wish, and purchase additional copies of any of the books and themed stickers if needed.
The package cost is $75 and is non-negociable. Attending one workshop is not an option for this event.
