This exhibition celebrates the plein air journeys of artists Peter Lewis and Peter Ollerhead, who painted side by side across Newfoundland’s breathtaking west coast — from Frenchman’s Cove and Lark Harbour to the Lewis Hills at Serpentine Lake.
Peter Lewis also captured en plein air the island’s eastern charm through his travels to Bonavista, Trinity, Port Rexton, La Scie, Nippers Harbour, Long Cove, Quidi Vidi, and Salvage with Peter Ollerhead capturing Ferryland, Ferryland and the Gros Morne area.
Through brush and palette knife, their unique approaches reveal two perspectives of one extraordinary island. 🌿🎨
