Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or just in need of a break? Join us for an unforgettable experience of inner peace and rejuvenation. Our skilled and experienced monks will guide you through the transformative practice of mindfulness meditation in a serene and tranquil setting.

Features:

​During the retreat, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in various mindfulness practices, including Breathing meditation, Loving-Kindness meditation, laughter, connection, mindful walking, and nature appreciation. We also offer optional classes where you can engage in personal and mindfulness sharing experiences. All of these activities are designed to promote relaxation, self-discovery, and a deeper connection with yourself and others.

Styles:

  • Buddhist teachings on mindfulness, including contemplation of the body, Sensation, the mind, and Dhamma.
  • The practice of spreading loving-kindness and compassion fosters a sense of harmony and well-being.

​Our monks selflessly share their priceless teachings, experience, and time with you, completely free of charge. The retreat's meals are generously provided by volunteers who have personally experienced the bliss of mindfulness during past daylong retreats.

Time Table:

You are welcome to participate in all sessions or enjoy your own silent meditation refraining from the use of electronic devices.

Saturday:

  • 8:30 am - 9:00 am: Check-in
  • ​9:00 am - 9:15 am: Short introduction to the program
  • 9:15 am - 10:00 am: Guided meditation on breathing
  • 10:00 am - 10:15 am: Discussion on the experience of meditation on breathing
  • 10:15 am - 10:30 am: Silent short break
  • 10:30 am - 11:00 am: Teaching of how to practice mindfulness in daily life (including eating and napping)
  • 11:00 am - 12:00 pm: Brunch
  • 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: Silent free time (monks available for one-on-one sessions)
  • 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Learning how to identify defilements that lead to suffering in a community circle
  • 2:00 pm - 3:15 pm: Walking meditation
  • 3:15 pm - 3:30 pm: Tea break
  • 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm: Free time
  • 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm: Guided and silent meditation on loving-kindness
  • 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm: Mindful dining and chanting loving-kindness
  • 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm: Practical session on mindful communication, listening, and understanding thought patterns (community circle)
  • 8:30 pm - 9:15 pm: Silent meditation
  • 9:15 pm: Bedtime
  • 9:15 pm - 10:00 pm: Monks lead mindful Buddhist chantings (everyone can participate)


Sunday:

  • 5:30 am - 6:30 am: Wake up and washing
  • 6:30 am - 7:30 am: Mindful eating and chanting loving-kindness
  • 7:30 am - 8:30 am: Guided meditation on the impermanence of the six sense faculties (special technique for overcoming mental instability)
  • 8:30 am - 9:30 am: Walking meditation
  • 9:30 am - 10:30 am: Guided meditation on loving-kindness
  • 10:30 am - 11:15 am: Free time (monks available for one-on-one sessions)
  • 11:15 am - 12:15 pm: Brunch and sharing merits for those who helped with the program
  • 12:15 pm - 1:00 pm: Mindful free time
  • 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm: Mindful walking meditation
  • 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm: Sitting meditation
  • 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm: Sharing experiences and expressing gratitude to the monks for being with us
