We're going to try something different from the standard LOD. This is going to be a dart tournament ran over two days on two separate weekends at two (possibly 3) different bars.This will be a singles, handicaps tournament, so you'll need a Phoenix card.
Day 1 will be the Group/Qualifying round and Day 2 will be the knockout round. Entry will be $20 per person, with the bars adding $5/person.
Day 1
Everyone will be randomly separated in 6 or 8 groups (depending on number of players). Half of the groups will play out of Extra Pint, the other half will play out of Applejack's. You will play everyone in your group in a best of 5 series. The format will be 701 (OI/MO, full bull), 701, cricket, cricket, choice. Diddle game one to go first, diddle game 5 to choose game *or* shoot first, loser goes first games 2-4. The top 2 from each group advance to the second day. Depending on the number of groups, there may be play-in matches for the final spots. The winner of each group will win money (amount to be determined after registration closes)
Day 2 (Feb 22, location tbd)
The 16 players who advance from Day 1 will play in a double-elimination tournament (best of 5 winner, best of 3 losers). The winners bracket will be the same format as Day 1, losers bracket will be 01/Cr/Choice.
Groups will be drawn ahead of time, so you must register to play ahead of time. Entry fee ($20) can be sent to me (PayPal - @tpietrowski, Venmo - @timpietrowski) by January 27th. $5 per shooter will be added to the pot by the bars.
