Music on a Whim presents Twisted Circuits, a drift through a sonic borderland where familiar instruments take on unpredictable lives - stretched by tape, unsettled by electronics, and reconfigured through real time sound processing. What emerges is not a clash of traditions and machines, but a restless hybrid language that grows out of their entanglement.

Address – Le Brass Centre Culturel de Forest , Av. Van Volxem 364, 1190 Forest
Doors – 7 30pm
Tickets – €9 (early-bird); €12 pre-sales; €15 OTD

Gregory D’Argent presents Soleil D’Hiver – Oud / TapeLoops / AudioVisuals
Grégory D’Argent is an oud player, electric guitarist, composer, photographer, and filmmaker who merges jazz, improvisation, and the popular traditions of the Arab world. Founder of projects such as L’Hijâz’Car, Electrik GEM, H, and SIHR, he performs internationally and collaborates widely across contemporary and traditional scenes.
Soleil d’Hiver is solo performance for oud, electronics, magnetic tapes, and projections, exploring exile, memory, and heritage. It blends real-time sound processing, field recordings, and analog imagery into an immersive, expressive journey.

Wassim Halal presents ATABA – Dabruka / FX / Noise
Wassim Halal is a boundary-pushing percussionist and composer who explores Middle Eastern music through improvisation, collaboration, and inventive sound design. He works with diverse ensembles and creates instruments and effects, to expand the expressive range of rhythm.
In his solo ATABA, Halal investigates how the Darbuka can convey the depth of a traditional lament. The performance blends acoustic and amplified sound, hypnotic repetition, and cultural nuance, offering a unique, emotionally charged journey through rhythm.

Augustė Vickunaitė – Tapes/Experimental/Reel-to-Reel
Augustė Vickunaitė is a sound experimentalist with a background in physics. Augustė exclusively employs vintage reel-to-reel tape recorders to play articulating diverse layers of recordings including found material, field recordings, voice, music instruments, objects, and the whole spectrum of malfunctions of decaying technology. Auguste specializes in tape music, noise, and collage music, known for her theatrical and darkly humorous approach, often exploiting errors of analog audio equipment.
