System, Design Thyself: The Shift to Emergent Architecture
This presentation explores the fundamental shift in software architecture from explicitly designing systems to creating the conditions under which systems can effectively design themselves. As we enter the age of agentic AI and increasingly complex business environments, architects must evolve from being master builders to ecosystem cultivators.

The talk examines how emergent, agentic-driven, composable, event-driven architectures enable systems to adapt and evolve in response to changing needs. While looking toward future possibilities with AI-augmented development, the presentation remains grounded in practical steps architects can take today to begin this transformation.

There is limited parking in front of Improving. Please drive around to the back of the building, where there is a large surface lot with free parking. You’ll then enter through the back door (it will look like a warehouse entrance – we’ll have signage!) and walk down a long hallway to enter the event space.
