New Orleans Jazz / Blues is sweeeeet! Louis Armstrong is the heart of New Orleans. And New Orleans was his muse and his heart.This will be a night with songs by Louis Armstrong and a bunch of music of New Orleans. New Orleans blues can be sweeping and lyrical or funky and down in the floor.
And this month, we are bringing you some line of dance / ballroom blues moments, don't know what that is? Or know what it is, but could use a refresher? Come to the lesson!
All Levels Blues Lesson:
7:00 - 8:00 Jeannie and Franz will teach ballroom blues with line of dance! And the specific ballroom idiom from New Orleans, Strut.
DJs:
Andree George and TBD playing loads of great music with Louis Armstrong and other New Orleans blues in every set (and including other blues styles and genres to keep you dancing).
We'll be calling out some line of dance moments during the night. Don't worry! We'll get you ready in the class, and if you want to dance in place, just come to the center or the corners of the floor.
