Synopsis: Heather and Jim are considering starting a family in the not-so-far-away future. The world had fallen apart and there is a program entitled twenty-something-teenager which allows 20-somethings who cannot afford to live the opportunity to pretend to be a married couple’s child to help test if they are ready to start a family. When Reid shows up things get crazy for Heather, Jim, and Jenna, Heather’s best friend, when a shocking budding relationship brings Reid’s gender identity to light, Heather and Jim are tested as their new blessing comes out at non-binary. Heather and Jim’s marriage is put to the test as they react differently to the news and they are faced with the question: are they prepared to love their child no matter who they become?
