Charlotte Carpenter announces an intimate headline show at The Court Rooms (a previous magistrates court) in Market Harborough on Friday 10th October for an exclusive first listen to new music. Setting up a one-night-only event in a former magistrates court, this is a warm invite into the world of Charlotte as she brings together music, coffee and her communityIn her own words: “I’ve been self-producing at home a lot since my debut album which has allowed me to freely explore what’s coming next. With a handful of songs I’m deeply proud of, I’m ready for people to hear them and I don’t want to do a normal gig; I’ve done a lot of those these past two years. I wanted to do something memorable, so I started gathering some ideas out of my back pocket which have been there for too long and I found the perfect space to pull it off. I’ve always wanted to have a coffee shop set up at a gig; an MTV Unplugged meets your favourite independent coffee space where I’m making up flat whites for my audience and drinking local beers, but I thought it would be something I would have to wait for - something I’d do ‘oneday’ when I’m more successful, but I can’t keep these good ideas in my back pocket forever.”

CHARLOTTE CARPENTER
"a distinctively different kind of singer/songwriter sound, and one that makes for an enthralling listen." Best Fit
"Charlotte Carpenter is a storyteller, an artist capable of applying an enormous impact." Clash
Charlotte Carpenter is the perfect embodiment of independence. Her raw, soulful songwriting was widely heralded with comparisons to the likes of Sharon Van Etten and PJ Harvey, and coverage from tastemakers from The Line of Best Fit and CLASH, through to rock bible Classic Rock. Alongside heavy touring with the likes of Marika Hackman, Katherine Priddy, Juanita Stein (Howling Bells) and Kezia Gill, Charlotte has brought herself to the forefront of alternative singer/songwriters. Charlotte has appeared at Latitude, Boardmasters, Moseley Folk, Greenbelt, Y Not Festival as well as touring across Europe.
Early single release 'Fire' was heavily championed by Edith Bowman on Virgin Radio turning the ears of Total Guitar, claiming Charlotte as a “Guitarist To Watch”. Follow up single 'Babywoman' was heavily championed by Tom Robinson/BBC 6, later becoming a feature in Netflix’s ‘Selling Sunset’ in 2022.
Charlotte released her debut album “A Modern Rage” in 2023 which was produced by Matthew De Burgh Daly (Grace Petrie, AA Williams) and won further acclaim from the likes of Guitar Mag, DIVA Magazine, Nonchalant Mag, God Is In The TV, BBC Introducing and 6 Music and later joined the 20 Music Roots family for her live bookings.
2025 has been a big year for Charlotte, joining Katherine Priddy at sold out 400 capacity venues and Juanita Stein (of Howling Bells) on her UK Tour. Charlotte appears at Cottingham Folk Festival, Country On The Coast, The Music Barn, App Fest amongst many other indie UK festivals and more to be announced ahead of a brand new release in Autumn, the first single from Charlotte since her debut album which will be her first self-produced release.
