Tweens & Teens Mini Summer Camp

Join us for a fun and creative 4-day mini summer camp designed for tweens and teens who love baking and decorating! This hands-on experience will cover a variety of sweet treats, including themed cake designs, cupcake decorating, cake pops, candy making, and cookie decorating. Plus, campers will enjoy arts and crafts activities to bring out their creativity beyond the kitchen!

What to Expect:

• Learn cake decorating techniques from Chef Dawn of Ravy Cakes
• Make cupcake toppers, buttercream frosting, and candy treats like lollipops and gummy bears
• Engage in crafting and painting
• Participate in a fun “Nailed It” cake decorating competition
• Take home beautifully packaged treats each day
• All aprons and tools are provided for use during camp

Daily Schedule:
🔹 Check-in: 12:20 PM (Camp begins promptly at 12:30 PM)
🔹 Snack Break: 2:30 - 2:45 PM (Snacks & beverages provided)
🔹 Snack Break: 4:30 - 4:45 PM (Snacks & beverages provided)
🔹 Pick-up: 5:30 PM (No later than 5:45 PM)

🚨 Important Policies:

• Late arrivals after 12:50 PM will not be allowed to join. No refunds or credits will be provided.
• No refunds or credits provided for cancellations within 7 days of the class start date
• Campers must be picked up on time.

📅 Day 2 – Cupcake Decorating, Buttercream Making, Cupcake Toppers & Painting a Cupcake-Themed Masterpiece with a Professional Artist
📅 Day 3 – Candy & Treat Making: Lollipops, Gummy Bears, & Cake Pops
📅 Day 4 – Cookie Decorating & "Nailed It" Cake Decorating Competition (Individual or Team-Based)

Meet Your Instructor:

Dawn Alston of Ravy Cakes, a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native, grew up in Northern Virginia where she started baking at the age of six. Dawn holds an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and has competed in many local baking events and in 2018 she competed on Food Network’s Wedding Cake Championship. All The Details:

• Age Level: 10-15
• Skill Level: Beginner
• All supplies and tools are provided for use during class.
• We will provide a box for you to take your treats home in.
• If you have long hair, you may want to tie it back.
• Class requires a minimum of 4 students and there is a maxiumum of 14. In the event of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
• Class will run approximately 5 hours.

Cancellation Policy:

Changes and cancellations...we know life happens so we try our best to be flexible while being fair to our instructors who purchase supplies and bake for each student. Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made at least 7 days prior to the class. We cannot offer any credits for cancellations within 7 days of the scheduled class.
