Event Details:We are excited to work with the AVP to provide an AVP Next tournament for the players who fail to qualify for the AVP Virginia Beach Open Contenders Series Event. Due to limited court availability, we expect this to be a two-day tournament. We will get as much done as we can on Saturday and play until 8:00 pm. We will come back out on Sunday at 8:00 am and finish the remainder of the tournament.
Team Acceptance:
We will cap the tournament at 24 teams per division. Teams will be given preference based on Points until June 16th. Teams may still register from June 17th until Friday June 27th at 5:00 pm, but may be placed on a waitlist depending on how much interest we have in this tournament. Teams who register for this event and qualify for the Main Draw of the AVP Virginia Beach Open Contenders Series Event will be withdrawn from the tournament and given a full refund.
Schedule:
The schedule will be released sometime between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm eastern standard time. All Winner's Bracket Matches will be best two out of three sets. The first full round of Contenders matches will be two out of three sets. The following rounds of Contenders will be one set to 28 points. All matches played on Sunday will be best two out of three sets. The tournament director reserves the right to change the format based on weather delays or any other extenuating circumstances.
