Tri-Ball is played in a 3 verse 3 verse 3 format on a semi-round court. The volleyball can go over any net at any time.
Tri-Ball is a round-robin-style tournament where every team plays 9 games, playing on every section of each court, playing every team at least once, and never standing off the court for more than two games.
**Depending on the number of teams and game type, schedules may be modified**

-3 Player Teams Comp; Traditional Rules and Play Style
-3 Player Teams Rec: Traditional Rules and Play Style
-4 Player Team Rec: Traditional Rules and Play Style

-Best of 7 Matches, first to 3 wins
-If 7th match needed game only to 15
Games are timed for 15 minutes, starting and ending at the cowbell. Points are scored AGAINST you for hitting the ball out, or into the net, letting the ball drop on your court, or an infraction of the rules. So LOW SCORE wins. After each game, points are written down and after 9 games are complete for all teams, points are tallied up to determine who the winners are. Scores are not revealed until the end so all teams play hard throughout the tournament.
Teams that are not on the court playing are required to shag balls for those on the court. This keeps the play going and does not allow for artificially low scores for those teams. Since games are timed, servers can serve fast, as long as the court is clear of balls and all players are standing on the court.
***For new 4v4v4 Division only need 1 score keeper and 2 shaggers
