Join the Friends of North Prairie Native Gardens on Tuesday, March 17th at 6:30PM for a fun, engaging, and hands-on presentation all about Wisconsin’s turtles! Together, we’ll explore all 11 native species - from the familiar painted turtle to the elusive Blanding’s - and learn what makes each one unique, from their behaviors and adaptations to the important roles they play in keeping our natural spaces healthy.
One of the highlights of the program will be the chance to meet a couple of turtles in person. You’ll get to see these remarkable reptiles up close, hear their individual stories, and discover why turtles have captured the fascination of people of all ages for generations.
Whether you’re a long-time wildlife enthusiast or simply curious to learn more, this family-friendly talk offers a wonderful opportunity to deepen your appreciation for these ancient creatures and the simple ways we can help ensure they continue to thrive in Wisconsin for years to come.
