Experience a restorative pause, attune yourself to the aliveness and abundance of Summer, share stories.
About this Event

At the turn of each season, close to the equinoxes or solstices, I will guide a forest therapy walk in Epping forest, close to Chingford station - only 20 minutes away from Hackney Central.

In a small group, we will walk at a gentle pace on an easy and short trail. During this time, you will be offered specially crafted activities to stimulate your senses and to help you shed away the frantic pace of urban life. Other activities will support you to be in the present moment and place, to reconnect with yourself and your surroundings, and to re-engage with your imagination and playfulness . There will also be moments to share our experience of nature together and time spent in silence. And to end the walk, we'll share a special forest tea under the canopy.

These walks are like a small journey where time suspends itself. A regular practice brings a restorative pause into your life and informs you of your own seasons and transitions. After the walks, people often report a significant reduction of stress and a sense of peace, a lighter mood, an increased self-awareness and a deeper appreciation of our interconnectedness.

NB: A scheduled walk can be postponed due to extreme weather condition. In that case, you'll receive a message with alternative dates to choose from. There is a minimum of 3 participants for the walk to take place.

BY PURCHASING A TICKET, YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

- Looking for personal development.

- Longing for a deeper and more meaningful relationship to nature.

- Struggling with seated meditation.

How big is the group?

The group will be composed of 10 persons maximum.

Health and safety

Any outdoor activity entails known and unanticipated risks and although forest therapy is a low-risk activity, you still need to assume the full responsibility of your own well-being and safety.

The walk will be adapted to follow the safety guidelines, as long as it'll be necessary.

About me

I'm a certified nature and forest therapy guide as well as an integrative counsellor and a member of the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. Nature and forest therapy is a research-based framework inspired by the Japanese tradition of shinrin-yoku (aka forest bathing) and draws on ecopsychology and deep nature connection practices as well.

I hold also an outdoor first aid certificate and carry a first aid kit on all my outdoor work.

During my walks, just like you, I always put away my phone to be present and give my full attention to the group. Respecting your experience is my priority.

Tickets policy

Tickets are only refundable up to 30 days before the walk, unless the walk is cancelled by the organiser.

After purchasing your ticket, you'll get a confirmation email with more practical details about the walk. Make sure you check your spam/junk file, in case you don't see it.
