*Limited Turning Experience Required for this Class* Turn better with nationally renowned turning demonstrator and educator: Darryl jones of YouTube's Dreadknot Woodshop. This is a 5 1/2 hour class with a 30 minute break for lunch. This class will not only teach you to turn a hollowed out spindle, in the shape of an acorn with a perfectly matched lid, but it will set you up to make much larger versions of this same design at home. This design also translates to making a Turned Birdhouse suitable for an outdoor feathered friend. *Please note: This class is NOT for the beginning woodturner.* All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions Apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases.
