Master the craft of creating lidded boxes or birdhouse ornaments through woodturning in this hands-on class. Participants will explore the essential techniques for designing and shaping a functional and visually appealing turned box with a lid. Choose from a variety of unique wooden blanks to bring your box or birdhouse to life.
The class will cover safe lathe operation, as well as the use of roughing, spindle, and detail gouges to shape the wood into a distinctive finished piece.
No prior woodturning experience is required. Safety glasses are required for all participants. All materials are included in the course fee.
