We will have a speaker, Mr. Robert Donnelly-Balp from the Instituto Cervantes de Albuquerque, who will be sharing his thoughts about the subject.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Robert Donnelly-Balp from
Robert Donnelly-Balp is a Mexican-American member of the Albuquerque community. He works at the Instituto Cervantes de Albuquerque, the Spanish government's cultural arm, coordinating Spanish classes and cultural activities and events. He holds a Master's degree in Latin American Studies and studied toward a Ph.D. in the discipline at the University of New Mexico.He has traveled extensively in Latin America and has worked in international development and journalism in Guatemala and Mexico, respectively. Recently he traveled to Honduras to write an article on religious and political martyrdom in that country, and last year wrote a magazine piece on migrant detention in New Mexico. His connection to the Raindrop Foundation is indirect. Robert's father passed on to him many fond memories of the time he lived in Ankara and traveled through Turkey and the Mediterranean in the late-1960s while working for a U.S. oil company.
