NSU MIBC proudly presents the return of its flagship Digital Marketing Case Competition; Turkish Airlines Presents MarXcellence 2025, Powered by AMA Coffee and Driven by Garibook. MarXcellence 2025 is going global this year, with participants coming from Bangladesh and beyond. The competition will follow a hybrid structure, combining virtual and physical modalities, and will encourage undergraduate students from around the country and region to showcase their X-Factor worldwide.
MarXcellence 2025 aims to provide practical expertise in digital marketing, including market research, analytics, promotions, branding, ad production, sales, activation, and novel marketing technologies. Participants will face challenging tasks to demonstrate their abilities, receive mentorship from industry experts, interact with the corporate world through seminars and personal interactions, and compete for some wonderful rewards.
Rules:
Undergraduate students from all academic backgrounds studying at public or private institutions across Bangladesh and the world are invited to participate. International students can present virtually for the Semi-Final and Grand Finale.
Teams must be formed consisting of 2-4 members. Participants can be from the same university or different universities.
Participation in workshops is mandatory for at least two members of each team.
A registration fee of BDT 510 is required for national students and USD 10 for international students. Registration is live and closes on January 29th, 2025.
Details:
Participants will compete for their way through three exciting and challenging rounds, and two engaging workshops conducted by experts will be held to guide them through this rigorous challenge. The descriptions for the rounds and workshops are as follows:
Workshop 1: The first workshop will be held at the NSU auditorium. Domestic participants are required to attend in person, while international students will join the session via Google Meet or Zoom. The workshop will be conducted by digital marketing specialists, where participants will learn the efficient use of digital marketing tools. It will also introduce simple information collection and analysis methods using marketing analytics, providing participants with essential practical knowledge for the competition.
Venue: North South University and a hybrid participation option for international participants.
Round 1: An online case-solving round, the teams will be provided with a real-life marketing case problem and will have 5 days to solve it by utilizing their knowledge of digital marketing. Only 30-50 teams will move to the next round.
Workshop 2: A workshop where experts and industry veterans will shed light on marketing promotions, research, and branding. This workshop will help bring the audience closer to the corporate world and create valuable connections for the future.
Venue: North South University and a hybrid participation option for international participants.
Semi-Final: This is the Innovation Round, where teams will create an Original Video Commercial (OVC) and a comprehensive OVC marketing plan. Teams will have 5 days to prepare their OVCs, which will then be presented to a panel of judges. Presentations will occur physically at the NSU campus, while international teams will present virtually. 6 teams will advance to the final round.

Grand Finale & Gala: In the Grand Finale, the six finalist teams will be tasked with creating disruptive marketing tools to develop innovative branding and promotional techniques. Teams will present their comprehensive strategies, incorporating digital marketing tools and analytics, to a panel of distinguished judges during the Grand Finale. The event will feature an esteemed lineup of judges, guests, and dignitaries. The winners will be announced, and their prize money will be awarded during the event. The Final Round will be held at a prestigious 5-star hotel.
