What is "Meals on Wheels" you ask?
The Meals on Wheels Program provides nutritious, noontime meals to senior citizens, age 60 and older, who have difficulty leaving their home unassisted and who are unable to prepare their own meals.
Skagit County is one of the few programs in Washington State that still delivers hot, nutritious meals to seniors in the community. By using only the freshest ingredients, meals are prepared each delivery day at a central kitchen and are distributed at lunchtime by volunteers. These deliveries provide daily one-on-one contact that many seniors look forward to every day in the town you live in.
