💰 BIGGER PAYOUTS
We've significantly increased the prize pool to $3,200 total payout per division (based on 16 teams per division). That means more chances to win and bigger rewards for your skills on the court! To give ya some perspective....First Place would take home $520 PER PERSON!! AKA get these players to sign up!!!
Entry Fee: The entry fee for each battle is $80 per person or $320 per team. CASH is due the morning of the tournament. We are no longer accepting CC payments for Turf Wars.
👥 TEAM FORMAT
We are shrinking our teams! Each team will now consist of 4 players - 2 males and 2 females.
🏆 MAJOR AND MINOR DIVISIONS
We're introducing two divisions with raised DUPR caps to ensure fair and competitive play for all skill levels:
Major Division: For players with a DUPR rating of 4.0 and above - capped at 22 - Yes 22. We want the smoke!
Minor Division: For players with a DUPR rating of 4.0 and below - capped at 15.75
A DUPR rating is required for all players, and you must be part of the Sunsets and Dinks DUPR Club. All previous players with DUPR accounts have been sent a DUPR Club invite, so please accept if you plan on playing in Turf Wars. Your DUPR ratings have been updated on our end as of 9 March 2025. We will report the scores after every tournament conclusion to ensure ratings stay current. Your initial rating will still be utilized throughout the season.

Registration is now fully integrated into our website with a fluid mobile-friendly interface, allowing you to register on the go! We've added robust data checking to prevent duplicate Player/Team registrations, simplified the Player/Team selection process, and dramatically improved load times.

You'll now play a total of 8 games per day - 4 against each opponent in the following format:

Mixed Doubles 1 (Male1/Female1)

The Battle Cards system will update standings in real-time, viewable not only from the director's table but also directly on your mobile device! No more waiting to see where you stand in the competition.
💵 END-OF-SEASON CASH PRIZE
This year, we're setting aside a portion of the operational budget for a special end-of-season cash prize awarded to the highest-scoring team, along with the championship belt! Make sure to compete each month to maximize your chances.
