About this Event

TRAVEL INCLUDED

SPRING IS HERE!
Join me for an exciting new trip by the coast of Hampshire and the Solent way to celebrate the coming Spring by the seaside, far from the London region, don't we all need it?!... And to rest from the previous strike day where you will be stuck in London. Yaaaaaayyyyyyy

Between red cliffs, sandy and pebbly beaches, stunning views of the needles and the Isle of Wight and Hurst castle, we are kicking off the high season with a lot of new spots to discover.

We will take a 2 hours train journey to New Milton, where we will start and walk towards the seaside town of Barton-on-sea where stunning red cliffs and a gorgeous seaside will welcome us, . As a settlement, Barton has a history dating back to Anglo-Saxon times. The area of Barton has been populated since prehistoric times. A number of Bronze Age funerary urns were uncovered in Barton during the early 20th century, although most of them have been lost or destroyed.

IF the weather allows, why not have our first swim of the season?!

If you have heard of the Isle of white, you will have fantastic views of its Northern and Western Coast and its number one attraction, the needles (pictured), just a few miles across the sea.

We will walk along the coast for most of the journey, walk pass Hurst Point Lighthouse, Hurst castle, an artillery fort established by Henry VIII on the Hurst Spit in Hampshire, England, between 1541 and 1544. It formed part of the king's Device Forts coastal protection programme against invasion from France and the Holy Roman Empire, and defended the western entrance to the Solent waterway. (we can add an extra 3 miles in the journey if you wish to visit it, entry is £6) and will take paths through several wonders of nature between marshes and nature reserves before we finish our trip in the beautiful town of Lymington where we can grab some food, ice cream, fudge, a specialty of the region or a pint, as you wish.

I am planning on getting on the train around 6 pm and we should be back in London just after 8pm, 9 if you wish to have more drinks.
As always, we are here for the fun, I will not rush you and to be fair, the only reason why we are walking is to get a lovely larger meal at the end of the day, so, come on, press book, give me money, and let's all be happy!:)
