Celebrate the summer season, and participate in a good cause with the Tunes for Trails, Perks for Parks free concert series.July through September, join the fun from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park. While this is a free event, donations will be accepted for the Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation and profits from beverage sales at this event contribute to the fundraising efforts.
About the band:
The Long Run, "Colorado's Tribute to The Eagles," hails from the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in Northern Colorado. Born in 2009, the band immediately hit the road doing fairs and festivals all over the Four Corners states-region, including many others. The Long Run continues 15 years later, faithfully recreating the 70s sound of America's best-selling rock band in history.
Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. Pack a picnic and enjoy some time with the family before the show. Food and alcohol will also be available for purchase. Note, no outside alcohol will be allowed.
Parking info:
Parking is Free! If parking is not available within the park, a parking crew member will direct you to overflow parking at BURLY Brewing Company at 680 Atchison Way #800. Shuttle from BURLY Brewing will run from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. Wait near the TROLLEY STOP signs for a 5-minute ride to the venue. Download a parking map at CRgov.com/ConcertParking.
Weather:
The events are rain or shine. We work with Town safety personnel the afternoon of the event to make weather-related decisions in the case of severe weather. Any updates will be posted on this Facebook event.
