Tune Junkie Weekend ~ Schedule of Events
Friday, February 7th: Open House and Ceili Dance.
Our first night festivities begins with our Open House and Friday Night Potluck, followed by a Ceili ($5 @ the door) hosted by our own Katelyn Dunn.
This is your chance to meet our teachers and fellow Tune Junkies for social time, food and drink. Beer tickets will be available for purchase by those of age, as well as coffee, tea and water. Doors open at 6pm and The Dance will be from 8-10pm with more tunes to follow. We close up at 12am to set up for the next day.
Saturday, February 8th: Workshops, Master Class & Showcase Concert.
The day begins at 11:00am when doors open for students to arrive and find their respective classes. There will be coffee, tea and water available. All classes will begin at 12 noon and will run until 2pm. The DADGAD Guitar class will be held off site at our Host Hotel, but start and end times are the same.
The Slow Session and Master Class are after Workshops have ended.
The Slow Session will be in the lobby and the Master Class will be in Theater 3. Each will run for one hour. Both will begin at 2:30pm
We will shut down at 4pm to set up for that evening’s Showcase Concert.
The Host Hotel Session will begin at 3pm and will run until 6pm.
The Showcase Concert
The Showcase Concert will be held at the Historic Grove Theater in Theater 12, where the Dance Class was held earlier in the day.
The front doors open at 6:00pm and House opens for seating at 6:30pm. Seating is General and is first come first serve. The Showcase Concert will run from 7pm-10pm with an intermission half way through. After the Concert lets out, we invite everyone to join us in our Big Session in the lobby, hosted by our Teachers and Performers. Doors will be locked at 12am.
Sunday, February 9th: Farewell Brunch and Session
Our Partnering Sponsor, Boyd’s Jig & Reel, will open up for us as a private brunch for all the Workshop participants, and will begin at 11am. Cost is $15 per person. Drink specials will be available.
Session is open to the public and will begin at 1pm.
