THE NEW SEASON OF TUNE EXPLORER SESSIONS BEGINS SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2025Learn to play an Irish tune or two, and then play Irish tunes in a slow session. Jim Loewenherz is the instructor for this week's session. He'll be teaching two popular session tunes: Kesh Jig and The Sally Gardens (reel).
The sheet music and play-along tracks for the tunes is provided via a free downloadable tune book and the TrailJams website.
Suggested donation: $5. (Thanks to CCE Oregon and a generous grant from the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs for picking some of the cost of these sessions.)

Are you wishing for a traditional Irish tune session that is slower than regular public sessions? One that includes some tune teaching and learning?
Tune Explorer Sessions are weekly slow & learning sessions for musicians who are just starting to build repertoire and skill, or are building proficiency on an instrument. The sessions are focused on playing traditional Irish tunes on melody instruments (not rhythm instruments or percussion). Players of all ages are welcome.
