General Rules:
All of our rules follow KBF Standard rule sets. See https://www.kayakbassfishing.com/kbf-rules-standards/
1. We are allowing Motors this year, Motors will be regulated by KBF Rules.
Watercraft propulsion is restricted to paddle, pedal, pole, or electric motor.
2. All fish must be caught by rod and reel with artificial lures only.
3. Fish can be measured by Hawg trough, Ketch Board, YakGear Fish Stik v2 measuring board only. You can cut your Hawg Trough down in inches but no bending of the Hawg Trough is allowed. Preferred method of picture is the board flat on your boat or knees. If you do angle your fish angle it with the fence down so there is no question on bending of the board issues.
All boards are subject to be inspected at any time.
*We have Hawg trough available for sale at the shop or day of even for $20.00
4. PFDs must be worn at all times. If cought without a PFD on it is grounds for immediate disqualification.
5. No bank fishing.
6. All fish must be caught while on your vessel.
7. 360 White light and Whistle is a requirement.
8. All anglers must fill out a liability release form and tournament director will keep it on file.
9. You can only use one rod and Reel at a time, all rods and reels are accepted, including fly rods. If you are snagged/hung up and can not free your lure, you are allowed to cast with another pole before you blow your spot and go in to attempt to retrieve it.
10. If cought purposely cheating you are subject to being banned from all future events.
11. 50 foot angler rule applies, please give each other space. If you are approaching another angler talk to each other to figure out each other's plans and work it out. First person to a spot has "dibs". Some of the lakes we fish are smaller but generally speaking if you talk to each other on the water it's easy to work out a game plan. If you are within 50ft of another angler talk to them before you cast.
12. Rules are subject to change if needed. If you have any issues feel free to talk to the tournament director or call up to Tulsa Kayak with any concerns or issues and we will handle it the best we can.
Measuring a fish & photo regulations:
1. Fish must be facing to the left with the belly down towards you.
2. Mouth closed. If mouth is open in any way shape or form there will be a half inch deduction. If your fish has a deformity and the mouth will not close please document a video to show to the tournament director at the time if judging.
3. Keep hands off the eyes/ under the gills of the fish.
4. Keep hands off the tail of the fish.
