Join us at the Price Center in San Marcos, Texas, for a staged reading of a powerful dramatic script that tells the love story that sparked the 1921 Tulsa Race Riots. Follow two star-crossed interracial lovers in 1921 as they find themselves in the center of the Tulsa race riot of 1921 and have to navigate racial tensions in a thriving American community which is divided by violence and prejudice. Tulsa, and specifically a neighborhood called Greenwood or "Black Wall Street," was burned to the ground during this riot, marking the first time a U.S. city was bombed from the air by its own people.
Professional actors will breathe life into these historical characters in front of your eyes as they are accompanied by an immersive auditory and visual production.
