No partner required.
No previous dance experience required.
No special dresscode or shoes required.
Just casual and comfortable.
In the classes, we will teach the foundations of kizomba, the steps, the technique, and how to lead and follow in a partnered dance. Over time, you’ll build up your skills and confidence, and wish you had found kizomba earlier in your life.
In the social afterwards, you get to practice what you’ve learnt, bring out your creativity, enjoy the music, dance the night away, and leave feeling energised and uplifted.
Kizomba is a partner dance from Angola, sometimes called the African Tango. It’s all about the music, dancing, connecting, making friends, and having fun.
Parking
There is some street parking near by and along Priory Road, or a choice of car parks all 4 minutes walk away, The Swan, the train station or Easton St.
For the Easton Street car park, HP11 1NT, park on Level 6 and exit through the rear door. Turn left out of the building and walk in a straight line. The Front Room will be on your right.
Party Nights
The last Tuesday of the month is Party Night where we bring in fantastic DJs for your dancing pleasure. On these nights we will start the class at 7:30pm and the social dancing will run from 8:15pm to 11pm to maximise the time with our DJs. Check separate Events to find out who will be DJing and for the Eventbrite links. These nights are £10 on the door or £8 if you book in advance at our regular weekly classes or via our website, www.kizombamoments.dance .
Saturday Parties
Our Saturday parties are on the second Saturday of the 'odd' months. We have our resident DJ EdiDersio on the decks and run until midnight. Do not miss these! Check out the events on FB and the website.
