Tuesday’s Gone was born in the booming music scene of Raleigh, North Carolina in 2005. In the nearly two decades since then, they too have taken the nation by storm. A force to be reckoned with, Tuesday’s Gone has headlined thousands of fairs, festivals, casinos, NASCAR races, Bike fests and events. Gracing the stages of world famous venues all across the country while paying homage to their mentors, and the fathers of southern rock ‘n’ roll. They’ve also had the honor to share stages with some of the biggest names in Rock and Country music. Names like Molly Hatchet, Aaron Tippin, .38 Special, Sammy Kershaw, The Outlaws, and Constantine Maroulis of American Idol fame, just to name a few..
Several members of Skynyrd have jumped on the Tuesday train, all commending the band’s attention to detail. The band replicates every last note with complete precision, going even as far as using the same vintage equipment as the original band, to ensure their tone is just right. They’re honored to have forged friendships and alliances with Skynyrd guitarists Ed King and Randall Hall, and drummer Artimus Pyle. The latter two both recruited front-man Ryan King to sing lead vocals in their respective bands. The late Jimmie Van Zant presented King with one of Ronnie Van Zant’s personal Hi-Roller hats in 2009, honoring him and Tuesday’s Gone for paying tribute to his family’s namesake. Van Zant and King became close friends until Van Zant’s untimely passing in 2016.
