Held at Dassett Pottery, our high-quality, modern studio is nestled in a peaceful rural location. Our goal is to make pottery accessible to everyone.
Our Throwing Taster Workshops are designed for newcomers — whether you're after a fun one-off experience or want to explore pottery before committing to a course or self-learning.
In this session, you’ll:
- Learn the basics: centring, opening, and pulling up the walls of a pot
- Understand the importance of preparing your clay properly
- Choose your favourite piece to be glazed and fired by us
What’s included:
- 2 hours of studio time (please allow 20 minutes for clean-up)
- Unlimited clay
- Expert, step-by-step tuition
- Live demonstrations
- Glazing and firing of one pot
