This October, the Otago Settlers Association’s Tuesday Club welcomes Glenn Summerhayes and Grant Watson, of the Freemasons, speaking about the organisation and the recently opened small display at Toitū called The Craft.Freemasonry came to Dunedin with some of our early European settlers and has played a significant role in our community for generations. Using ritual to teach and reinforce ethics and good character, the Freemasons emphasise charity and community service. Over recent years Toitū has acquired a substantial collection of objects related to Freemasonry, some of which are now on display. Hear Glenn and Grant talk about the stories behind The Craft.
This event begins with refreshments and an opportunity to chat with Otago Settlers Association members.
