Welcome to our Back-to-School Sewing Camp, where children ages 8 and up will embark on a creative journey over four consecutive days, crafting essential items for the upcoming school year!Day 1: File Folder: On the first day, our campers will dive into sewing by making their very own fabric file folders. They'll learn how to measure and cut fabric, sew straight lines, and attach closures.
Day 2: Pencil Case: Next, it's time to sew a custom pencil case. Campers will practice sewing zippers and creating compartments to hold pencils, pens, and other school supplies. They'll explore different fabric combinations and embellishments to make their pencil cases unique and functional.
Day 3: Lunch Bag: On day three, our young sewers will tackle the lunch bag project. They'll learn techniques for sewing insulated layers to keep lunches cool or warm. Campers will also add handles and closures, ensuring their lunch bags are both practical and reusable for the school year ahead.
Day 4: Shoe Bag: Finally, our campers will wrap up the week by sewing their own shoe bags. They'll design and construct bags to store and carry shoes, perfect for keeping backpacks organized. This project will reinforce skills in sewing seams, adding drawstrings, and finishing edges neatly.
Throughout the camp, our skilled instructors will guide the children through each project, teaching them fundamental sewing techniques and encouraging their creativity. By the end of the four days, each participant will have a set of handmade back-to-school essentials that showcase their sewing abilities and reflect their personal style.
The cost of this Sewing Camp is $282.50 which includes tax, fabric, notions and equipment.
